«Project Impact» SPAIN Project Integrated in the International Network on Academic Stress Coordinator Dr. DE LA FUENTE ARIAS, Jesús |
Aims.
The importance of psychological wellbeing in young adults studying at university has been well documented in much recent research. This Proof of Concept Project is based on two recent models: (1) the conceptualization of risk for and preventive factors against stress and the multidimensional behavioral competency inherent to self-management of a person’s psychological condition; (2) the importance of an interactive, contextualized vision of stress and psychological wellbeing.Based on that evidence, the utility e-Coping with academic stress, as a self-help tool has for some ten years allowed simple assessment and improvement of academic stress. However, there is now a need to (1) update it to accommodate the latest technology and (2) move commercialize it in target populations and different groups.
Method.
This project is divided into four phases or moments: (1) To consider with different promoters the possibility of applying their brand to the tool to enable true transfer for the technological use of the tool in the environment of international, professional Psychology. (2) To develop the new competitive version in an innovative latest generation format that uses artificial intelligence and to port the tool to mobile phones; (3) To transfer the tool through the promoter for use in the target populations (universities, academies, professional colleges, professional associations), at European, Latin American and United States level, but not to the exclusion of other international markets; (4) To sustain the research associated with the tool, working with researchers who created and own the tool (Principal Investigator) to allow validation students and provide evidence of the effectiveness and effects found, through third-party training and assessment activity and contracts carried on through R&DI Departments.
Value of Innovation and Transfer.
This process will generate clear added value for the for the tool, its commercialization and as a launching pad to apply for a new European Project to generate content and profile for the INETAS NETWORK (www.inetas.net). It will also lead to the creation of several jobs associated with the project in Spain and internationally for the commercial exploitation of the tool e-Coping with Stress.
